On 13 March 2024, SJ Campus officially opened its doors to clients, partners, and industry peers. As SJ’s new global headquarters, the campus embodies a progressive vision for the future of work—centred on collaboration, sustainability, and purposeful design.

Mongoose was appointed to deliver the complete launch experience in under eight weeks. From creative development and guest journey design to content capture and on-ground execution, every touchpoint was crafted to reflect SJ’s ethos. The experience was anchored by an exciting opening video featuring cinematic drone footage of the entire campus, capturing the scale and ambition of the new headquarters.

 

The launch spanned two key event venues within the campus:

1. Tropical Garden – Arrival & Showcase
Guests began their experience at the Tropical Garden, where registration took place alongside a preview display of the campus architectural models. A live quartet performed amid the lush greenery, setting an elegant ambiance. After the ceremony, this venue was transformed into a vibrant post-event hospitality area—serving a curated buffet, bespoke cocktails and mocktails, and featuring performances by local schools.

2. Multipurpose Hall – Opening Ceremony
The formal programme was held in the Multipurpose Hall, where the official opening ceremony took place. This segment included speeches by senior leaders, a launch mechanism, and audiovisual storytelling that highlighted SJ’s heritage and vision for the future.

The event welcomed over 500 guests, including Singapore’s Prime Minister, Mr. Lawrence Wong, marking a milestone moment for the organisation.

My responsibilities spanned end-to-end planning and creative direction. This included conceptualization, vendor and performer management, video conceptualization (including coordination of the drone filming), and F&B oversight—such as designing bespoke cocktails and mocktails. I also led floral and horticultural design, AV and production coordination, two-venue space planning, and the management and training of a 30-person event crew to ensure seamless operations across both locations.
